LED Video Wall FAQ's
Here’s a list of LED Video Wall FAQ’s we think you’ll find helpful. Since this technology is relatively new, there’s a lot to learn. For that reason, we are using photos and videos to help answer these questions.
One question we are always asked about LED Video Walls is about Pitch Size. The Pitch Size refers to how far apart the pixels are. If the pitch size is big then the LED video wall can be viewed best from further away. Naturally, when the pitch size is smaller you can view if from closer up. In other words, you get higher resolution with a smaller pitch size. However, you might wonder why we don’t just use the smallest pitch size possible.Â
Obviously, a smaller pitch size means more pixels per inch. That means more electrical connections and more LED pixels. Consequently, a lower pitch size will result in a much greater cost. For that reason, most of the time we use a pitch size around 2.5. This brings up another point, exactly what is pitch size? The pitch size is the number of millimeters between the pixels. Also, as of the time this is being written (2023) 99% of all LED Video Walls are made in China. Some are also made in Europe. Consequently, pitch size is measured in millimeters not inches.
The photo with green and black shows an LED video tile touching hard panel graphics. There is a very thin line showing part of the framework. However, with SEG instead of hard panel graphics the frame would be better hidden. Additionally, the video shows how it actually looks where the LED tile and graphics meet. As a result, our LED video wall will appear seamless.
Custom Designed LED Video Wall Booths
Can you make an LED video wall booth look 3D? In this video you can see how we put two exterior LED video walls touching at a 90 degree angle. Consequently, we are able to simulate depth. For instance, you see a window ledge and the shadow under it. However, nothing is real in this video. In fact, when the wall in the video breaks apart, then it’s obvious that we simply used a 3D looking video on two different walls. As you can see, there’s no limit to what we can create.
Sometimes people ask about a 10 foot video wall rental. In that case, the wall is pretty basic. However, when you have more room to work with, we can get creative.Â
